David Beckham breaks silence after Sven Goran Eriksson death calling coach 'true gentleman'


Former England captain David Beckham has paid an emotional tribute to Sven-Goran Eriksson, who has sadly passed away at the age of 76 after a battle with cancer

The Swedish football manager, who had been battling pancreatic cancer since January, was at the helm of the England national team from 2001 to 2006, with Beckham as his captain. Beckham expressed his deep emotions in an Instagram post on Monday, 26 August, with a video of their final meeting, believed to have taken place at Sven's home in Sweden. Prince William also took to social media to honour the England caption and wrote: "Sad to hear about the passing of Sven-Goran Eriksson.
