Dave Navarro Apologizes to Jane’s Addiction Openers for ‘Terrible Outcome’ of Canceled Tour
Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro apologized to Love and Rockets and Crawlers, the two band's opening for Jane's on their now-canceled tour.
Navarro shared the note on Instagram Stories (via Brooklyn Vegan), writing, “I would like to personally apologize to @loveandrocketsofficial [and] @cralwersband and their crews for such a terrible outcome of what started off as an incredibly magical tour.” Jane’s Addiction called off the remainder of the tour — which featured the band’s core lineup together for the first time in 14 years — following an onstage altercation between Navarro and singer Perry Farrell last week. She said Farrell’s “frustration had been mounting” during the tour, in part because he was battling a sore throat and tinnitus, and because he felt the stage volume was so loud his “voice was being drowned out by the band.” In Boston, she continued, the audience started complaining about the sound too and “Perry lost it.”
