Daryl Hannah revealed that she was 'incredibly anxious' about performing nude in the 1984 fantasy-comedy feature Splash during a new interview with People.

The 63-year-old actress starred opposite Tom Hanks in the Ron Howard-directed movie, which followed a young man who fell in love with a woman who turned out to be a mermaid. Hannah's role was also offered to various actresses, including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sharon Stone and Melanie Griffith during the feature's pre-production process. Screenwriters Bruce Jay Friedman, Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel, as well as story contributor and producer Brian Grazer, were all put up for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for their work on the project.
