Evil Jason’s universe sure seems to suck.
The last episode’s introduction and shocking killing of Daniela B, the one who ended her pregnancy and her relationship with Jason B after he chose the “cold, sterile lab,” suggested a frightening and unpredictable course for the series. Having accepted at last that Jason A doesn’t remember her, Amanda introduces herself, explaining that her job at Velocity is to “train the Box pilots,” a program that affords these intrepid interdimensional pilgrims “emotional regulation” and “hyperfocus.” At least until Ryan arrives — with the same attractive woman we saw him leave the Public Tap with in the first episode — wrapping Jason B in a bear hug from behind and whispering in his ear, “Don’t fight it.”
