After country superstar Morgan Wallen was caught on video saying the n-word in 2021, Darius Rucker argued it’s time to forgive him
The “Whiskey Glasses” singer got his start on season 6 of The Voice in 2014, where he was a member of Adam Levine’s team but got knocked out during the playoffs. For the record, Wallen was nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the 59th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in May, losing to Lainey Wilson. Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer found themselves in hot water in the early 2000s after sharing their personal politics on a public stage.
