Darius Khondji Confirms ‘Eddington’ Is Headed To Cannes Film Festival
Cinematographer Darius Khondji has confirmed that Ari Aster’s dark comedy Eddington, starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal and Emma Stone, has been selected for Cannes. Billed as a black comedy Western thriller, Phoenix stars asan ambitious small-town New Mexico sheriff who goes up against his mayor, played by Pascal in a pandemic-era power struggle. Other films expected to have made the cut include Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme, Kirill Serebrennikov’s The Disappearance Of Joseph Mengele and Kleber Mendonça Filho’s The Secret Agent.
