With the popularization of theaters that now serve dinner and drinks in the middle of a movie (see Alama Drafthouse locations, for example), the “Eastbound & Down” and “Pineapple Express” comedian recently told GQ magazine that he is staunchly against the trend. Per GQ magazine: “McBride, [David Gordon] Green and their film-school buddy Jody Hill had at some point kicked around the idea of opening a theater with a built-in dispensary. Alamo Drafthouse is probably the most high-profile theater chain that offers extensive in-theater dining options, including a from-scratch food menu, local beers on draft and craft cocktails.
