Posing in a floral shirt for W Magazine 's Best Performers Issue 2025, the actor, 56, discussed his latest film Queer, which is set in the 1950s.

Celebrating 34 actors who were thrilling, mesmerizing, and, ultimately, unforgettable, this year’s Best Performance issue features Adrien Brody, Angelina Jolie, Ariana Grande, Colman Domingo, Cynthia Erivo and Demi Moore. Also featured are Kingsley Ben-Adir, Mia Goth, Nicole Kidman, Paul Mescal, Saoirse Ronan, Selena Gomez, Tilda Swinton, Zendaya, and Zoe Saldaña across sixteen unique covers. Daniel's most recent role is in the film Queer which follows American expat and war veteran William Lee (played by Craig), who has a romance with a younger man, Eugene Allerton (Drew Starkey).
