Danica McKellar Says She 'Needed' to 'Let Go' of Hollywood 'Superficiality' After Wonder Years Fame to 'Find Out Who Else I Was'


Danica McKellar stepped back from Hollywood following her five-year stint on 'The Wonder Years' and got a degree in mathematics at UCLA, which she said, looking back, came from her desire to "let go of all the glamour and superficiality of Hollywood."

McKellar has spoken before about how the end of The Wonder Years and her pivot to school coincided with something of an identity crisis for her younger self. It's like, I dealt with enough of that when the show was over," she said on Cheryl Burke' s podcast Sex, Lies and Spray Tans last year.
