Dan Stevens is in talks to reprise his 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire' (2024) role as Trapper in the next Monsterverse film with Kaitlyn Dever.Cliff Watts/Warner Bros./Courtesy Everett Collection In The New Empire, Trapper Beasley is a veterinarian that works for the scientific organization Monarch, with Stevens’ performance making him a new fan-favorite in the franchise. Insiders say that while Kong and Godzilla will still be fronting the film, Legendary is looking to build on its human characters and the first logical choice landed on Dever, whose star has been on the rise for some time. She now joins the franchise as it combines character-driven storytelling with its signature epic scale and Titan-clashing action in Sputore’s vision.
