Dan Schneider is Suing the Makers of Quiet on Set
According to Schneider, the show was a “hit job.”
“They went beyond reporting the truth and falsely implied that I was involved in or facilitated horrific crimes for which actual child predators have been prosecuted and convicted,” Schneider said in a statement about the makers of the series. He also cried while discussing the abuse that Bell experienced and emphasized that any scenes deemed suggestive in shows like Sam and Kat were signed off on by other adults involved in the productions. Discovery, which owns Max, Maxine Productions, and Sony Pictures Television, is also named in the suit, THR reports, which seeks unspecified damages and a court order that will require producers to either edit portions of the docuseries or remove it from streaming completely.
