Joe Biden announcing today that he is dropping out of the 2024 presidential race has given Damon Lindelof “genuine excitement for the election.” In his exclusive July 3 guest column for Deadline, Lindelof was very blunt about what had to be done for Biden to understand how the political landscape had dramatically shifted after his rambling and often disjointed debate appearance on CNN last month against Donald Trump.
