Dame Helen Mirren, 79, takes pictures from her balcony as she arrives on the French Riviera for the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival
The Oscar-winning actress is in town for the 78th edition of the annual Cannes Film Festival , despite not having a film to promote at this year's ceremony.
Appearing on the balcony of her suite at the iconic Hotel Martinez shortly after arriving in the resort town, Mirren, 79, was seen taking pictures of the sweeping coastline with her iPhone. The actress is in France after her Amazon Prime show Mobland was axed following a string of complaints over the authenticity of leading man Pierce Brosnan's Irish accent - despite the former James Bond star coming from Ireland. England's chief medical officer Professor Sir Chris Whitty said keeping fit in midlife is one of the 'main preventive strategies' for staying healthy in older age.
