Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande Tease ‘Wicked’ Release With Message To UK Audiences In Moments Worth Paying For Campaign
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will star in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked, which will be released in theaters later this year.
The duo playing Elphaba and Glinda made an appearance in the Moments Worth Paying For campaign teasing the Jon M. Chu-directed film. “As we prepared for this production over the last year, it became increasingly clear that it would be impossible to wrestle the story of Wicked into a single film without doing some real damage to it,” read the letter posted on April 2022. Wicked also stars Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Marissa Bode, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, Keala Settle and Peter Dinklage.
