The musical icon, 71, who is in Australia for her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, posted a picture on Instagram after stumbling upon a mural of herself in her younger years. Cyndi looked chic during the Melbourne outing, donning a trendy maroon blazer, contrast wash jeans, silver sneakers and a newsboy cap. Lauper, who was looking decades younger than her years as she appeared on the show, famously changed the lyrics from their original meaning, flipping the script to put girls on top.
