Cyndi Lauper ‘Humbled’ to Be Inducted Into Rock Hall, Points Out Women’s ‘Many’ Contributions to Rock
Cyndi Lauper is reacting to her Rock Hall class of 2025 induction, saying she's "humbled" by the honor.
“I’m humbled to be in the company of so many of my heroes – Aretha, Tina, Chaka, Joni, Wanda, to name just a few,” she shared in an Instagram post on Sunday (April 27), after the class of 2025 was announced on American Idol. “So over these ole boys,” Hole’s Courtney Love wrote in a since-deleted 2023 Instagram post in response to a journalist noting that only a reported 8.5 percent of inductees at that time were women.
