Cupra Partners With Berlinale, Studio Babelsberg on New Edition of Short Film Contest The Dream Makers


The Dream Makers was launched in collaboration with director J.A. Bayona, who served on the jury along with German actor Daniel Bruehl.

Volkswagen auto brand Cupra, an official partner of the Berlinale and subsidiary of Spanish automaker Seat, is teaming up with the festival and Studio Babelsberg on its new edition of The Dream Makers: Short Film Contest. In its first edition, The Dream Makers jury, consisting of Griffiths, Bayona, Brühl, ESCAC producer Aintza Serra and Sitges Film Festival director Ángel Sala, decided to award two proposals. Studio Babelsberg CEO Joerg Bachmaier added, “We are true believers that great stories deserve to be told, and that the evolution of our industry relies on emerging voices and their vision of diversity, inclusion and freedom.
