Crown star Emma Corrin splits from Oscar-winner Rami Malek after two years
Emma Corrin and Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek should have been a match made in Hollywood heaven.
The couple were first spotted together at a Bruce Springsteen concert in London in July 2023, just a few months after Malek had broken up with Lucy Boynton, his co-star in the Freddie Mercury biopic. Corrin – who came out as queer in 2021 and identifies as non-binary, using the pronouns they/them – said the ‘vitriol’ targeted at their gender identity was ‘worse than I anticipated’, adding: ‘Even though we like to think we’re in a progressive society, a lot of what we’re seeing is increasingly a step back.’ For now, Corrin will be keeping busy filming the Netflix adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride And Prejudice, having been cast as heroine Elizabeth Bennet, opposite Slow Horses actor Jack Lowden, who will play Mr Darcy.
