Craig Gillespie’s ‘Supergirl’ Movie Confirms June 2026 Theatrical Release


The forthcoming 'Supergirl' movie, directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Milly Alcock, will be released in theaters in June 2026.

This is the second film after 2025’s Superman: Legacy to receive a release date since James Gunn and Peter Safran were brought in to overhaul future DC movie adaptations. Supergirl is scheduled to start shooting this fall, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and DC Studios also has the Batman movie in the works from director Andy Muschietti. In January, Gunn shared her casting announcement, writing, “Milly is a fantastically talented young actor, and I’m incredibly excited about her being a part of the DCU.
