Courteney Cox 'in talks' for Scream 7 after co-star Neve Campbell announced her return after exiting horror film series over salary row
Courteney Cox is in talks to reprise her iconic Gale Weathers role in Scream 7 - just two weeks after longtime co-star Neve Campbell announced her return to the horror film franchise.
The most recent revival of the movie, released in January 2022, brought back original stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette and made $140million at the box office against a $24million budget. Sidney stumbled downstairs and after taking a gun owned by police officer Dewey (David Arquette) is left baffled when her friends Stu and Randy (Jamie Kennedy) both accuse each other of being the killer. Barrera was dropped by production company Spyglass in late 2022 over what they said 'crossed the line into hate speech', and shortly after she was given the axe, co-star Jenna Ortega and director Christopher Landon left the project as well.
