Corrie’s Daniel Brocklebank explains why he’s ’really glad’ Paul has died


Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy Mayhew on Coronation Street, has spoken about the death of his on-screen partner Paul Foreman following his battle with motor neurone disease

In scenes on Monday, Billy tried to say goodbye to his partner Paul on the phoneThe episode had viewers in tears, while the storyline also affected Daniel personally, who has experienced the impact of MND from his grandfather's diagnosis. During a Coronation Street press day, Daniel spoke about Paul's MND storyline and revealed: "I’m really glad that it’s coming to an end, because it’s been exhausting, but I’m hugely proud of what we’ve been able to do. Daniel previously spoke about his grandfather's MND as he shared a video of a book which showed those suffering from the disease record their voices.
