Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver reveals she feels 'physically sick' over AI weight loss scam as ITV soap issues warning


The Coronation Street star, 60, has been showcasing her three-stone weight loss as a result of being 'seriously ill' last year as well as giving up alcohol.

On Friday's Loose Women, Sue opened up about being targeted by fake AI weight loss scam videos, saying: 'It's mortifying, the amount of messages I have had on Instagram, saying, "I've spent over £100 on these items based on that."' The joint statement on Thursday read: 'Please be mindful that the Coronation Street and Emmerdale actors are often impersonated on social media by scammers who set up fake accounts on platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok and Telegram. The actress, who has played Eileen Grimshaw since 2000, made the decision to step away to focus on more theatre work after landing a role touring in Sister Act, the musical.
