Coronation Street's Amy Robbins, who plays Daisy Midgeley's ( Charlotte Jordan) estranged mum Christina Boyd, was so excited to join the cast that she cried when she first heard she got the part. Remember when Kate rocked up in Albert Square last year as the music agent Jen Glover who fell head over heels for Billy Mitchell ( Perry Fenwick)? Robbins even performed for the Queen at Buckingham Palace in A Celebration of Youth in the Arts with RADA, playing Lady Capulet alongside actors Anne Reid and Bryony Hannah.
