Simon Gregson has shared a hilarious family mix-up, revealing even his own mum has accidentally called him Steve. The 50-year-old actor, who's been portraying Steve McDonald on Coronation Street for an impressive 35 years, has come to terms with being addressed by his character's name by fans. Chatting with Lorraine Kelly, he revealed: "All the people who come into Corrie now are taken off into a room and they're told about what will happen, press intrusion, how being famous - for want of a better word - will change your life.
