Coronation Street star quits soap after three years on cobbles - with explosive exit storyline kicking off within months
The Corrie regular will leave later this year according to reports and is hoping to move on to new projects.
The actor, who has also starred in the hit Apple TV show Ted Lasso alongside Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham, had always planned to leave after three years and will no doubt be starting on new and exciting projects soon. Bill is the latest star set to leave the show after Emrhys Cooper, who played cult leader Rowan Cunliffe, quit the soap in July after just seven months But according to The Sun, Rowan will be exiting the soap and instead heading to the St Helen's Theatre Royal for pantomime at Christmas, where he will play Prince Frederick in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
