Coronation Street Lou actress appeared on soap years ago in completely different role

Coronation Street star Farrel Hegarty has opened up about her time on the cobbles, revealing she actually played a different role on the ITV soap years before she joined as Lou Michaelis

The star burst onto the scene as the mischievous Lou earlier this year, quickly earning the label of "nightmare neighbours" alongside her on-screen hubby Mick (played by Joe Layton). The pair made their mark on Mawdsley Street, causing a stir among the locals, despite forming a bond with Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston). Lou and Mick didn't just befriend some of Weatherfield's residents; they also stirred up trouble, clashing with the likes of Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) and Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan).
