Coronation Street legend says soap is 'tough' with no socialising ahead of taking a break
Coronation Street legend Maureen Lipman has claimed that life on the cobbles is "tough" as she prepares to take a break from the soap after 22 years on the show
When asked about her experience in Coronation Street since her return in a recent interview, Maureen admitted "it's a tough job", claiming there is now barely any time to rehearse scenes. She shared to Best Magazine that while she's close with co-stars like David Neilson (Roy Cropper), Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs), and Jennie McAlpine (Fiz Brown), their social interactions are limited. Fans will be thrilled to hear that Maureen is set to dazzle audiences in a new pantomime role in Beauty and the Beast, performing alongside magician Pete Firman.
