Coronation Street legend Charlie Lawson, 64, shares wild wedding photos as he reveals he and his soap co-stars partied until 4am: 'We fancied some early morning champagne'


Coronation Street star Charlie Lawson has shared a glimpse of his wedding day after marrying his partner Debbie Stanley in a stunning October ceremony.

The soap legend, who played Corrie's Jim McDonald from 1989 until 2000, was surrounded by his celeb pals on the big day with Eamonn Holmes officiating while his best man was his on-screen son Simon Gregson. Magazine at the time how they legally tied the knot with just three witnesses at Macclesfield Registration Office two weeks before so Charlie's friend of 30 years Eamonn could officiate on the big day. Charlie told how when he was working on the soap, cast members Bill Roache, 91, who plays Ken Barlow, Helen Worth, 72, (Gail Platt) and, 59, (Kevin Webster) would communicate with producers if they were not happy with a storyline.
