Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard 'in danger of bankruptcy for the SECOND time as she is hit with £50,000 bill' for failing to pay off her company's tax debt


The former Coronation Street actress, 67, is under investigation after her acting firm failed to settle a £100,000 tax bill.

She and her husband Jon McEwan, who are directors of their company, set the entity up after she left her role as Liz McDonald for the final time in 2020 as a way to manage her money. New documents revealed: 'We carried out an initial reviewof the company’s affairs, including seeking information and explanations from the directors by means of questionnaires. The actress started off in the ITV1 soap in 1989 and departed in 1998 but returned for numerous long stints over the years and eventually left for good in 2020 (pictured in 2009 alongside Craig Charles as Lloyd Mullaney)
