As Paul Foreman went to desperate lengths to try and end his life on his own terms amid his MND battle, Coronation Street fans have slammed husband Billy's 'hypocritical' reaction
After another emotional night on the Coronation Street cobbles saw Paul Foreman consider taking his own life, viewers at home were quick to label one Weatherfield resident, Billy Mayhew, as a complete “hypocrite” after he lambasted his husband for his actions. As regular viewers will know, Paul is battling Motor Neurone Disease, an incurable degenerative disorder that affects his nerves and will ultimately claim his life in the coming weeks as he slowly loses the ability to move, eat, speak and even breathe one his own. In a surprising twist however, despite his reservations about the situation, after hearing Paul's emotional plea to let him keep hold of the one choice he still had left, Billy made a complete u-turn on his earlier lecture and tearfully told his husband that when the time came, he would help him die if that was what he truly wanted.
