Conan O'Brien made a joke at the Oscars about Kendrick Lamar and Drake's ongoing public beef but made sure to be lawyered up.
Midway through the Academy Awards broadcast, the comedian referenced Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX performance and his continued feud with the Canadian rapper. “Well, we’re halfway through the show, which means it’s time for Kendrick Lamar to come out and call Drake a pedophile,” O’Brien joked getting laughs from the Dolby Theater. No amount of contrived and absurd legal arguments in this pre-action submission can mask the fact that fans choose the music they want to hear.”
