Conan O’Brien Set To Host 97th Oscars
Conan O'Brien has been set to host the 97th Annual Academy Awards for the first time. The show will take place on March 2, 2025 in Hollywood.
O’Brien also isn’t known for political humor like Kimmel, Steven Colbert, Seth Meyers, and Jon Stewart who have all taken on hosting duties for high profile awards shows. One source with inside knowledge of the discussions told me they wanted to steer clear of that, especially this year with Donald Trump back in the White House. “Conan is a preeminent comedic voice, whose decades-long success is marked by his distinctive humor and perspective,” said Craig Erwich, President, Disney Television Group.
