Comedian Deon Cole Forced to Evacuate Home amid L.A. Fires After Being Hospitalized on His Birthday: ‘It’s a Nightmare’

Deon Cole revealed that he evacuated his home amid the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, just one day after being hospitalized on his 53rd birthday. He captioned an Instagram video with, ‘This day is devastating!!!!’

Soon after, on the night of Friday, Jan. 10, Cole shared that he had evacuated his home because of the wildfires, writing in another post that he had collected a few important items from his house, including flowers given to him by his mom before she died in 2021. A number of celebrities and other public figures have shared that they have lost their homes in the fires, including Tina Knowles, Billy Crystal, Anna Faris, Cobie Smulders and Taran Killam, Paris Hilton, Candy Spelling, Cameron Mathison, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Mel Gibson, John Goodman and Anthony Hopkins and Eugene Levy.
