Sky, the U.K.’s largest pay-TV broadcaster, is to cut 1000 jobs as consumers move from satellite TV to streaming. According to The Financial Times, which first reported the news, Sky employs some 27,000 people in the U.K., which means that the layoffs will affect 4% of staff. It also allows users to seamlessly watch shows where seasons are split between different streaming services due to licensing constraints.
