Comcast has promoted Steve Croney to a newly created role as chief operating officer for the domestic businesses of its Connectivity & Platforms segment that serves more than 32 million customers. It’s a significant role at Comcast’s biggest division with about $80 billion in annual revenue that oversees broadband — as the largest provider in U.S. — voice and video to residential and business customers. A 30-year veteran of the Philadelphia media giant, he has held strategic, financial, and operational leadership roles across the company and led a number of critical company initiatives, including integrating acquired businesses and bringing new products to market, managing Connectivity & Platforms’ pandemic response, and leveraging AI and data throughout the operations.
