Comcast Launches $70 per Month Sports and News TV Streaming Package, Pitched as Cheaper Than YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV

Comcast's new Sports & News TV package includes 50-plus live news, sports and broadcast channels for $70 per month.

DirecTV earlier this month introduced a similar streamlined package called MySports, which initially includes 40 sports and broadcast channels and is available in 24 metro areas. In addition, Comcast’s Sports & News TV includes access to Peacock, the NBCUniversal streaming service that features original series, more than 8,000 hours of live sports including NFL football, Premier League soccer and WWE, movies, next-day access to all new shows from NBC and Bravo, plus library content and daily live news. Customers can opt to pay extra to add an X1 set-top box to their subscription to get features like Enhanced 4K, Multiview, Odds Zone and integrated search with the Xfinity voice remote.
