Colombian Hitmaker Dr. Velasquez Found Dead in his Home in Medellin
The music scene in Colombia is mourning the death of Dr. Velásquez, a prolific hitmaker, artist manager, and businessman, who passed away on June 8.
“With deep pain, we inform you of the death of Dr. Velásquez, renowned singer, composer, manager, businessman, and paisa dreamer,” reads the message in Spanish. The two attended the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Week together, were Blessd formed part of the “Making the Hit Live!” panel alongside Ovy on the Drums. Artists such as J Balvin, Maluma and emerging act El Clooy, who was recently managed by Dr. Velásquez, also reacted to his death on social media.
