Colman Domingo Gives Update On ‘Scandalous!’ Directorial Debut With ‘Euphoria’ Co-Star Sydney Sweeney: “A Beautiful, Sweet Film”
With Season 3 of 'Euphoria' kicking off in January, Colman Domingo and Sydney Sweeney are aiming to film 'Scandalous!' after wrap.
Domingo praised Sweeney for bringing him onto the project after working together on Euphoria, in which he plays Narcotics Anonymous sponsor Ali Muhammed and she stars as high school student Cassie Howard. So, we were really engaging one-on-one in that way of what possibly we can make together, sort of this fractured love story between Sammy Davis Jr. and Kim Novak. Her covert affair with Davis became big news when a Chicago gossip columnist wrote a detailed account of their relationship in early 1958, including their plans to wed, despite their denials.
