Colin Firth's wet shirt from Pride and Prejudice sells for huge amount at auction
Colin Firth's wet linen shirt from Pride and Prejudice was sold for a huge amount of money at a charity auction. The shirt that got Colin soaked and made him look brooding became the treasure of one lucky fan
The outfit, including boots, trousers, and waistcoat, worn by Colin's character Mr. Darcy in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, was expected to fetch up to $12,700 at auction. The scene, where a dashing Mr. Darcy surprises Elizabeth Bennet (played by Jennifer Ehle), his future love interest, is considered one of the most memorable moments on UK TV. John Bright said: "My life's work has been committed to costume design for film, TV and theatre, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to pursue this path," He believes strongly that arts and creativity can help children become happier and healthier, and reach their full potential.
