Colin Farrell Details 20-Year-Old Son James' Angelman Syndrome Battle

Colin Farrell and ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave share son James, who has neurogenetic disorder Angelman syndrome

“This is the first time I’ve spoken about it, and, obviously, the only reason I’m speaking is I can’t ask James if he wants to do this,” Farrell, 48, told People in an interview published on Wednesday, August 7, of his firstborn, who is nonverbal. James’ journey has inspired Farrell to start an eponymous foundation to provide support for adult children navigating intellectual disabilities. According to a website description, the Colin Farrell Foundation is “committed to transforming the lives of individuals and families” through education, awareness, advocacy and innovative programs.
