Coldplay to Release ‘Moon Music’ Album With ‘New Sustainability Standards’
Coldplay announced their new 'Moon Music' LP 'new sustainability standards' that reduces CO2 emissions during the manufacturing process.
Compared to traditional 140g vinyl, this approach will prevent the use of 25 metric tonnes of virgin plastic, while also reducing 85 percent of CO2 emissions during the manufacturing process. The Notebook Edition EcoRecord rPET LP will comprise 70 percent river plastic intercepted by the organization from the Rio Las Vacas, Guatemala. Meanwhile, Moon Music ’s CD versions mark another first as an EcoCD made from 90 percent recycled polycarbonate sourced from post-consumer waste.
