CNN to Exclusively Air George Clooney’s Record-Breaking Broadway Hit ‘Good Night, and Good Luck’ Live for Free
CNN will air 'Good Night, and Good Luck,' the record-breaking Broadway play written by and starring George Clooney, live on June 7.
As McCarthyism casts a shadow over America, Murrow and his news team choose to confront the growing tide of paranoia and propaganda, even if it means turning the federal government and a worried nation against them. In partnership with TodayTix, the production also recently subsidized 2,000 tickets for New York City high school students, including those studying journalism, to attend the show. In Variety’s review, Frank Rizzo praised Clooney’s Broadway debut, writing the actor “has a deeply felt command of character and a riveting presence.” He added, “this transfer from screen to stage is as intense and laser-focused as the penetrating gaze coming from its star.”
