When Tony spoke, Miriam mostly sat in respectful silence, allowing the full horror of his experience to sink in as he described living at the Mission from the age of three and how he finally realised he was never going to see his parents again. For starters, presenters Emma Willis and Tom Allen have far more natural chemistry than John Torode and Gregg Wallace, don’t bellow half so much and take themselves way less seriously.
