City Of Malibu Urges Residents To Prepare To Leave Their Homes As Wildfires Ravage More Of LA; Sylmar Evacuation Ordered
Malibu City urges residents to ready for evacuation as wildfires rage; Santa Monica already told to evacuate.
The City has yet to issue a mandatory evacuation order but has urged residents to be ready as the Palisades Fire sweeping across the state is “uncontained” and being “fueled by winds from Santa Ana.” Those who need extra time due to having pets or livestock were told to evacuate now. Another wildfire broke out in Eaton Canyon, near Pasadena, with local authorities forcing evacuations as a windstorm hits Southern California. Mayor Karen Bass has just tweeted that mandatory evacuations are in place for the Hurst Fire in Sylmar.
