CITV star Danielle Nicholls' huge TV comeback 24 years later - after tragic baby loss

Danielle Nicholls first shot to fame as the face of CITV in 1998 – then in 2012, the presenter and her husband tragically lost their 17-month-old daughter, Cici, while on holiday

The star became a household name at 19 as the face of ITV's children's channel CITV – but took a career break to focus on her family and deal with the heartbreaking loss of her young daughter. Originally discovered by producer Steve Ryde, Danielle co-hosted the daily kids channel, launching shows like Teletubbies, alongside Stephen Mulhern from 1998 to 2001. Danielle opened up about her 'worst' job interview that took place two weeks after a heartbreaking loss, recalling: "I looked at the other kids and said to Dean 'I can't go on telly pretending I'm happy.'"
