Cinephobia Buys ‘Brute 1976’; Jonathan Ross Returns To Channel 4; ZEE5 Global Readies Horror Series — Global Briefs


Cinephobia Releasing has bought U.S. rights to Marcel Walz and Joe Knetter's Brute 1976 from Raven Banner Entertainment.

The film, which Walz ( That’s a Wrap) directed and Knetter ( Twilight of the Dead) wrote, is billed as an homage to 1970s horror classics such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes. The indie pic stars Adriane McLean ( Miracles of Christmas), Sarah French ( Blind), Gigi Gustin ( The Retaliators), Dazelle Yvette ( Garden of Eden) and Adam Bucci ( NCIS Los Angeles). Directed by Bhimrao Mude, produced by Sharmishtha Raut and Tejas Desai at Ericon Telefilms, story, with dialogues by Pralhad Kudtarkar and a screenplay by Kapil Bhopatkar, the series stars Kishor Kadam.
