Cillian Murphy fans have been left shocked after a 28 Years Later zombie heavily speculated to be the Oscar-winner was unmasked.

The Oppenheimer star, 48, played Jim in the 2002 horror classic with a gruesome zombie scene in the trailer for sequel 28 Years Later sparking worldwide speculation the actor had revived his role Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans were quick to share their shock at the zombified form of what was seemingly Cillian's character Jim, with the scene indicating the grim fate of the courier following the 28 Weeks Later film. The original film 28 Days Later starred Cillian as a bicycle courier who wakes up from a coma to discover the accidental release of a highly contagious, aggression-inducing virus has caused the breakdown of society.
