Cillian Murphy reveals a nasty facial scar as gangland boss Tommy Shelby and Johnny Dogs ride a narrowboat on a 126 foot high aqueduct for new Peaky Blinders film The Immortal Man
The Oscar-winner, 48, was joined by co-star Packy Lee, who returns as show regular Johnny Dogs for the eagerly anticipated feature-length spin-off.
Principal photography for the Birmingham based drama shifted to north-east Wales on Sunday, with Murphy dressed in character as notorious gangland figurehead Shelby while filming on a canal boat. A Grade I listed construction and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct towers over the River Dee and is used exclusively by narrowboats, allowing them access to the nearby village of Llangollen. Peaky Blinders aired six series over nine years and ended with Tommy, who had been tricked into believing he had a terminal illness, surviving an assassination attempt orchestrated by his own nephew before killing him and moving away for a new life.
