Chvrches singer Lauren Mayberry has released a new solo single, "Something in the Air," ahead of her debut LP.
Chvrches frontwoman Lauren Mayberry has shared a new solo single, “Something in the Air.” The musician previewed the anthemic track live last month before debuting it last night on BBC Radio 1. Dan and I went for a walk around the block before going back to the studio and were unpacking those theories, and why people want to believe them – and the chorus lyric just appeared.” A press release notes that Mayberry was inspired by ’90s icons like Tori Amos, PJ Harvey, and Kathleen Hanna, as well as ’90s girl groups like All Saints and Sugababes, when making the album.
