Christopher Nolan to be given an Honorary Cesar Award for his 'unwavering passion and commitment' to film - amid Oscar buzz for his acclaimed biopic Oppenheimer


The Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques has announced that it will honour British-American filmmaker Christopher Nolan in its upcoming ceremony.

The French Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques will give Christopher Nolan, 53, the Honorary Cesar award to acknowledge his 'unwavering passion and commitment' to film The epic swept the board with 13 nods, including a first-time recognition for Cillian Murphy who will go head-to-head with fellow Irishman Barry Keoghan for Best Actor. Barbie won four awards at both ceremonies, including a new Golden Globe simply for box office success, putting to rest the rivalry between the films - affectionally dubbed Barbenheimer- at least in the eyes of critics.
